AMAZING parallels
between the life of St. Kevin
and the life of Kevin Patton

(age 120)
St. Kevin loved animals and was known for his kindness toward them

Kevin Patton loves animals and has been recognized for his work in conservation and animal welfare
This can't be a mere coincidence!

St. Kevin was a very learned man and was a great teacher

Kevin Patton went to school a heck of a long time and loves teaching
    Pretty spooky, eh?
Look at the icon of St. Kevin and notice the butt-like forehead

Kevin Patton has been known to many as a butt-head for decades
    Can you believe this?
Again looking at the icon, St. Kevin has a halo

The photo of Kevin Patton has a distinct aura around the head also
    This CAN'T be coincidental!
In the icon, St. Kevin is holding up two fingers, the Cub Scout sign

Kevin Patton was a Cub Scout
   Yikes! this is incredible!
In the icon, St. Kevin is holding a book

Kevin Patton has read several books
Whoa!   Are we in the Twilight Zone?
St. Kevin wore a beard

Kevin Patton has worn a beard for most of his adult life
    Do YOU believe in reincarnation?
St. Kevin was reported to have lived to the age of 120

Kevin Patton expects to live to be over 100 also
This is FOR REAL, can you believe it?
St. Kevin lived and taught next to two lakes

Kevin teaches at SCC campus, which has a master plan calling for two lakes.
    Divine intervention, or what?
One of the lakes in St. Kevin's glen had a sea monster in it who ate people, but not St. Kevin

Kevin Patton has never been eaten by a water monster
    This is absolutely true, folks!
St. Kevin once had a bird build a nest in his hand, lay eggs, and raise her young there

Kevin Patton once had a bird land in his hand and poop there
This really is getting scary, isn't it?
Once during a drought, St. Kevin and his monks ate salmon brought by an otter

Kevin Patton loves to eat smoked salmon
    Amazing, isn't it?!
St. Kevin lived most of his life in a valley (Glendalough) surrounded by the Wicklow Mountains' walls of mica schist.

Kevin Patton has often found himself in the middle of a huge pile of schist.  Or something like that.
     Can you believe it?!
The Feast of St. Kevin is sometimes called Patten Day in Glendalough.

Patten or Pattern Day is the Irish term for a riotous feast held in honor of the local patron.
Come on, St. Kevin's Day called Patten Day in St. Kevin's own hometown --just try to deny that there's a connection with Kevin Patton!
wpe35674.gif (91938 bytes)The Cross of St. Kevin at Glendalough (click on the thumbnail to the right) is the only major example of a celtic cross that is incompletely opened.  Nearly all celtic crosses are OPEN rings on a simple cross (see the smaller cross to the right, in the background) but St. Kevin's Cross has a ring that has not been completely opened.

Kevin Patton has many incomplete works sitting on his shelf (and in the garage and in the basement and in the lab and . . .).
This is getting spookier and spookier!
When a beautiful, naked woman tried to seduce St. Kevin, he threw her into the lake

Well, here the parallels stop.  Kevin Patton would never be so rude!
