 GENERAL INFORMATION
Slightly smaller than Massachusetts, this tiny Central
American country borders the Caribbean Sea, between Guatemala and Mexico. Now
called Belize, this country was formerly known as British Honduras (but is now
an independent constitutional democracy). English is the official language
but Spanish, Mayan, Garifuna (Carib), and Creole are also spoken in Belize.
